It's Our Neighborhood!

The Community Response Team (CRT) is a division of our Jacksonville Beach Police Department. The police ask that residents become involved and alert them when problems arise.

If you see anyone who is trespassing, jumping fences, unruly or suspicious behavior, evidence of vandalism or other such incidents, please contact the CRT at 270-1684.

Vandalism and unauthorized use of the pool is costly for all Ocean Cay residents. Your help is needed to safeguard our community and control expenses. Remember: CRT 270-1684 for non-emergency situations.

Personal Pool Parties Residents who wish to use the Ocean Cay Pool for private parties are required to schedule their parties as far in advance as possible.

A private party would consist of five or more guests by a residential household.  The number of party guests will be limited to no more than twenty-five.  This action is being taken by the Board to safeguard the availability of pool use for all Ocean Cay residents.  Parties with more than twenty-five quest or more than one party at a time could over-crowd our pool facilities, negatively impacting the use and enjoyment by residents.  For the same reason, no private parties can be scheduled for holidays.  No exclusive use for private parties will be allowed.  The pool will remain open to all residents during private parties.

A fully refundable damage deposit of $75 will be required for the use of community facilities for private parties.  Additionally, fees are to be paid in advance with checks made payable to Ocean Cay Homeowners Association.  It is our sincere hope that all damage deposits will be returned as residents assume the responsibility for the activities of their guest and cleaning up following the party.  Please be aware that the homeowner is responsible for all damages, including damage that may exceed the deposit. Also, no cooking (flammables or explosives) is allowed at Personal Pool Parties within the pool area.

All pool rules apply at all times, including private parties.  NO GLASS is allowed within the fence.  If broken glass were to get in the pool, the entire pool would have to be drained which would be very expensive and force the closure of the pool.  ADDRESSING THE BOARD WORKING PARTY

Keep Ocean Cay Beautiful The Grounds Committee has identified several ways to control costs by doing some minor repairs around the neighborhood ourselves.  If you would be willing to lend a helping hand from time to time, please contact the grounds committee through the Feedback page in the Web site. Minor repairs are making a major dent in our budget!  This is a way to help reduce our expenses and be a contributing part of the community.  It's likely to be as much fun as work!

Point of Order The Ocean Cay by-laws establish that all meetings of the Board shall be open to all members.  Our by-laws also address the participation of non-board members during these meetings, explaining they may not participate in any discussion or deliberation unless permission to speak is requested on his or her behalf by a director and granted by the President.  These procedures may be read in entirety in Article VI, Section 7.  It is necessary to follow these directives to have order and be able to conduct business.

If you wish to address the Board at any of the Board Meetings a form has been drafted for your use.  A copy is attached for your review and copies will be available at all Board meetings.
